What you need to know…

We like our HVW Boutique brides to receive their dress at least two months before their wedding day, to allow plenty of time for alterations, styling decisions and final tweaks. We recommend ordering your dress 10-12 months before your wedding so that we have enough time to make your dream dress.

  • Prices vary from $2,900 - $8,000 for our Amiela collection.

    For custom made the price varies from $4,900 - $9,900.

    Please note that these prices can vary depending on material and design.

  • Our gowns are made to order with a 6 month production time. We recommend ordering your gown 10 months before your special day to ensure sufficient time for your gown to be lovingly hand-made and delivered to you.

    We can accommodate rush orders from time to time, however, this option may incur an additional fee.

  • Nikki is more than happy to offer her expertise in helping you design your dream merino wool dress. This will involve a half hour zoom or in-person appointment. She will sketch up your designs and discuss with you your fabrics.

    If our sizing doesn't suit but you love our designs we will happily make to order with supplied measurements or custom made in our studio. For custom made you would be required for 4 fittings.

  • Each year we will design a small range that are available to try on. These dresses are ready to be tried on and we will help you determine which size suits you best. Our dresses range from size 8-18. (for larger sizes we can custom make)

    For custom made dresses, we recommend that you try on our samples, so you get a better idea of what material and silhouette you like. We can also create your unique design from scratch based on your inspiration photos and what suits your silhouette. We will work with you and draw up sketches to help you visualise your unique design.

  • Totally understandable! We are here to help, you can refer to our previous custom design works or dresses from our collections for style, material, lace, silhouette, and more. Our designer will work with you collaboratively to determine the best fit and look for you.

    This process is a two-way street and we want you to look amazing!

  • You can view the gowns at our studio 15 Horrocks Highway Wilmington SA. We will have "Trunk Shows" in Adelaide on occasions.

    You can request to have a personal appointment in Adelaide with Nikki the designer during her regular scheduled trips. Alternatively you can request a personalised session with for a fee, she can bring the gowns to Adelaide for a individual try on and styling session.

  • For your first fitting, we usually use a generic fabric to make a “muslin” sample, which will make it easier for us to adjust the fit and pattern before cutting the final fabric.​

    During your second fitting, we begin cutting the final fabric and add on the desired lace, beading and any other embellishments you may have on your design.

  • We recommend you order based off the size that most of your measurements fall into or is most relevant to your largest measurement. It is much easier to take a gown in, than to let a dress out. See our size guide here

    Please feel free to reach out to us with your measurements and we can assist you in determining the most appropriate size.

    HOW TO MEASURE – MEASUREMENT GUIDE

    1. Bust - Measured under the arms, around & over the fullest area over of your bust.

    2. Waist - Measured around the slimmest point between the ribcage and the hips – usually over the belly button.

    3. Hips - Measured 15cm down from waist around - usually where your hips bones are.

    4. Lower hip – widest part – usually around your bottom

    5. Skirt Length. - Measured from the front waistline down to the ground.

    6. Please measure shoe height – to allow additional length for shoe height.

  • With any wedding dress, it is expected that you will require alterations. These can range from adjusting the hem of the dress to the perfect length to shortening straps as well as any minor adjustments you might prefer. If you purchase your dress through our online boutique you will need to source a tailor privately. We usually recommend allowing about 10 weeks before your wedding for alterations. Please email us if you have any questions relating to alterations and we will be happy to provide advice.

  • Once you receive your dress, please try it on as soon as possible without make-up, lotions or fake tan.

    On the rare occasion you think we have made a mistake with the measurements; please contact info@horrocksvale.com including a few photos of your concerns and we’ll happily work with you to reach a solution so you can feel your most confident and beautiful self on your wedding day.

    Unfortunately, we can only cover costs if any concerns are brought to our attention within 24 hours of delivery.

  • For purchase our gowns we ask for 50% payment up font and on confirmation of your order. Final payment is due when your gown is ready for dispatch or if custom-made we require the remaining payment on pick up.

    Payment plans are available upon request, and we will do our best to suit your needs.

  • We do offer sample gowns for sale, By purchasing a sample item you accept the condition of the gown as it is. It may need dry cleaning and you must understand these gowns have been tried on and maybe in perfect, to a new gown.

    We ask for full payment up front but you can request a payment plan on request.

  • Yes! We can, up to 4 months before your wedding date but we do charge a rush fee that ranges from $500-$1000 + depending on the urgency.
